Position Description

Support the Senior Team Leader in supervising a team of 12-15 members ensuring they are complying with set procedures and standards of position while performing normal duties and meeting targets.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Aid the Senior Team Leader with training of new team members on established procedures and verifying knowledge and performance of standardized work
  • Assist the Senior Team Leader on coordinating with the production team to ensure that all items needed for shipment are prepared and ready to ship
  • Executes operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of merchandise, and keeping of warehouse inventory
  • Expediting high priority requisitions
  • Examines items to be moved, determine approximate weights, configurations and characteristics to determine the type and method of material handling/delivery required in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ensuring compliance with import and export regulations
  • Access various databases and input data with a high level of accuracy
  • Complies with safety and corporate guidelines
  • Uphold 5S within the department
  • Communicates all issues within the department to the Senior Team Lead
  • Strictly enforces company policies and procedures
  • Assists and supports team members in logistics processes as needed
  • Assists in decision making and solving conflicts when the Senior Team Leader is not available
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

Experience
  • Minimum of 1 years Logistics experience required
  • Leadership experience preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of processes, procedures, and Standardized Work

Skills and Abilities
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong leadership skills, excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills
  • Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts
  • Solid decision making skills

Other
  • High School Diploma/ GED or relevant experience required
  • English required
